How to Use

OptimizerRation™ Usage Guidance

OptimizerRation can be combined within a dietary conditioning system in a variety of different ways, tailored toward different species and management contexts.

Easiest Method for Sustained Health:

  • Crumble and mix into daily feed using a 20% OptimizerRation / 80% feed ratio.

Dietary Conditioning System

  • Our dietary conditioning system is a time-bound intervention designed to initiate avian reserve formation and delay internal use of nutrients. Birds encounter nutrient inputs briefly, after which they are processed through the posterior digestive tract, accrued as internal reserves, and drawn down later to support skin production, skeletal structure, reproduction, and early chick resilience. This system incorporates a pulse window, during which OptimizerRation is offered. The pulse is defined by discrete exposure, timing in synchronized group encounters, complete consumption, and full withdrawal of the pulse input before subsequent husbandry phases.

System Sequence

Our avian dietary conditioning system is composed of four stages:

1. Preparation Stage: This stage aligns the rhythm of feed intake with the tempo of the bird’s endocrine system, effectively priming the bird’s digestive system to metabolize the nutrients it encounters in subsequent stages.

2. Pulse Window: During this stage, we initiate the birds’ reserve loading by providing access to OptimizerRation in order to direct nutrients toward muscle integrity, feather surface quality and reproductive tissue support.

3. Consolidation Stage: During this stage, accrued materials stabilize and are allocated to maintain the depth of the nutrient reserve.

4. Return to Daily Feed: This stage is designed to sustain the stable allocation of nutrients before the next pulse cycle of the system begins.

Each stage serves a distinct physiological role. For usage guidance targeted to specific issues and species, please read the downloadable How to Use PDFs relevant to your birds, linked at the bottom of this page.

We have developed these guidelines and recommendations to support stewardship for conservationists, hatcheries, farmers and backyard stewards.

Guidelines & Recommendations

Conservationist

As a conservationist, you are responsible for raising healthy flocks and maintaining stewardship of important lineages. OptimizerRation™ can enhance reproductive physiology, promote optimal feather structure and pigmentation, and support increased vitality and longevity for a broad range of captive fowl species.

For specific usage guidance by species, please see below. We are continually expanding our resources, so please check back frequently.

Hatchery

As a hatchery, you are responsible for raising healthy active breeder flocks and maintaining stewardship of important lineages. OptimizerRation™ can reinforce the internal nutrient reserves birds draw upon during growth, reproduction and molt, to support pigmentation expression, reproductive provisioning, sperm viability and keet robustness.

For specific usage guidance by species or breeding purpose, please see below. We are continually expanding our resources, so please check back frequently.

Farmer

As a small-scale farmer, your goal is to produce the best quality meat and eggs for your family and customers, while keeping your operation sustainable and cost-effective. OptimizerRation™ can enhance immune function, meat quality, and manure management for table birds and layers.

For specific usage guidance by species or purpose, please see below. We are continually expanding our resources, so please check back frequently.

Backyard Steward

You’re interested in raising healthier, more resilient birds. OptimizerRation™ can reinforce the internal nutrient reserves birds draw upon during growth, reproduction and molt, to support pigmentation expression, reproductive provisioning, sperm viability and keet robustness. This means healthier, more resilient birds at every stage of the avian life cycle, stronger eggs and higher hatch success, healthier, more resilient chicks/keets, brilliant, longer-lasting plumage more resistant to the elements and energetic, thriving flocks.
